Grilled Italian Sausage Patties

These are great to make on a hot day.
The heat stays out of the kitchen!
I like sweet Italian sausage patties.
You can cook these up ahead of time,
and re-heat them in the tomato sauce.
These are great served with cheese.

Ingredients:
4 Italian sausage patties
2 cups tomato sauce
1 onion, peeled and sliced
1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced
4 hamburger buns, toasted if desired

Directions:
Heat grill to high heat.
Place sausage patties on grill,
place onion and pepper slices on the grill,
cook un-covered without turning sausages
for about 3 or 4 minutes.
Remove onion and pepper when done.
Turn sausages with a metal spatula.
Let cook another 3 to 4 minutes.
Remove sausages from grill and set aside.
Heat tomato sauce in a glass dish
in the microwave for 3 minutes.
Add sausages to the tomato sauce.
Serve sausages on hamburger buns,
with onions, peppers and sauce.
