Grill Oysters,Mussels
Half Shell with Chives

Here is a good recipe for cooking fresh
oysters, clams or mussels on the grill.
Removes all the trouble shucking them.
One of the easiest ways to prepare em.

Ingredients:
2 doz. fresh oysters in the shell
2 doz. mussels, in the shell
3 Tbsp minced chives
8 Tbsp (1 stick) butter, softened
Salt and fresh ground pepper

Directions:
Wash oyster shells to remove any sand.
Scrub mussels throughly.
With a small sharp knife,
cut off hairy brown "beards".
In a small bowl, blend chives,
butter, and lemon juice.
Season with salt and pepper.
Place chive butter in small heavy saucepan to melt.
Cook oysters & mussels 3-4 min. until open.
Spoon 1/2 tsp. chive butter over each to serve.
