Every time I make this recipe I get
rave reviews from family and friends.
Make sure you use the freshest lemons.
It's also just as good baked in the oven.
Ingredients:
2 to 3 pounds chicken pieces
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Juice of 8 lemons
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
3/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf marjoram, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
Directions:
Pierce chicken skin in several places with a
fork and place in a shallow dish or plastic bag.
Combine remaining ingredients
and pour evenly over chicken.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Drain chicken, reserving marinade.
Grill chicken over hot coals about
20 minutes per side or until
chicken is no longer pink inside,
turning several times and
brushing with marinade.
Cook at least 5 minutes longer
after final brushing with marinade.
