Basil and Lime Sorbet

This sorbet recipe is so easy to make.
Delicious tasting and just sweet enough.
The perfect ender to a spicy meal
and cleanses the palate beautifully.

Ingredients:
20 fresh basil leaves, minced
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup fresh lime juice

Directions:
Place the water in a measuring cup,
heat in microwave on high power for
abou 4 minutes or until very hot.
Add sugar and stir until the sugar melts.
Place in refrigerator or freezer to cool.
When cool combine the syrup, lime juice,
and basil in a blender or food processor.
Puree for a minute. Pour the mixture
into a container, cover and place
in freezer until frozen, about 2 hours.
Break the frozen mixture into pieces
and place in the blender; blend until smooth.
Return to the container and cover.
Store in freezer until ready to serve.
