Mission Fig
Compound Butter

Making coundpound butter is easy,
you can flavor it with anything.
Here I used some fresh figs.
This goes great on grilled fish.

Ingredients:
10 figs stems removed and chopped
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 pinch cinnamon
1/2-inch piece ginger root, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Directions:

Place figs in food processor
and pulse on high until pasty.
Melt butter in large skillet.
Add cardamom, ginger root,
salt and zest. Saute over low heat
until ginger is tender.
Add chopped figs and stir well.
Simmer 1 minute and remove from heat.
