Oyster Stew made
in a Crock Pot

My Grandmother used to make a good
oyster stew using her crock pot.
This is the recipe to make it.

Ingredients:
1 gallon whole milk
12 ounces fresh oysters with juice
Margarine

Directions:
Heat up the milk in a crockpot.
Cut the oysters up if they are large.
Cook them in a skillet with some
water until the edges curl.
Add them to the heated milk
with some margarine, turn the
crockpot to low heat and
cook for a few hours.
Don't add salt until the end
or the milk will curdle.
Serve with oyster crackers.
