Peanut Butter Pie
Creamy and Smooth

I make this pie using homemade peanut butter,
and sometimes with a gingersnap crumb crust.
In this recipe I simply used store bought.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
3 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 unbaked 8-inch pastry shell
Whipped cream (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Thoroughly blend corn syrup and peanut butter.
Gradually blend in eggs and sugar until smooth;
stir in vanilla and salt.
Pour penut mixture in pie shell.
Bake in 425 degre F. oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees F.
and bake for 25 minutes longer.
Cool, serve with whipped cream if desired.
