Popcorn Turkey
Meatball Appetizers

You've heard of popcorn shrimp and chicken,
well try this recipe for popcorn meatballs.
It's made with store bought turkey meatballs.

Ingredients:
24 (24 ounces) cooked turkey meatballs
4 tbs corn starch
2 eggs (beaten)
1/4 cup cold water
1 cup cracker meal
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Creole seasoning
1 tsp brown sugar
1/3 cup plain bread crumbs
1/3 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp sweet smoked paprika
1 1/2 cups of corn or vegetable oil

Directions:
Place all the meatballs in a large bowl.
Add the garlic powder, brown sugar
and Tabasco hot sauce and mix well.
In another bowl, beat the egg
and water together, set aside.
In a third bowl, mix together flour,
cracker meal, bread crumbs paprika
and creole seasoning and set aside.
Set up one more bowl for corn starch.
Get a large skillet and heat
up your oil for frying;
use a deep fryer if you have one.
You coat one meatball at a time,
Coat meatballs with corn scratch,
then egg, then roll in the cracker mixture.
When all your meatball has been coated,
fry in oil until they turn golden brown.
Remove and place on paper towels
to absorb the excess oil if any.
Serve with tartar sauce, salsa
or whatever condiments you like.
