Grilled Pound Cake
with Caramalized Pears

This is one of the quickest and tastiest
recipes for making a great brunch dish.
Store bought pound cake is sliced, toasted
and served with a fantastic pear sauce.

Ingredients:
4 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 slices (3/4-inch thick) pound cake
3 Bosc pears, cut into thick slices
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Directions:
Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons butter in
a skillet over medium heat,
add the pound cake, and toast
until golden brown on both sides.
Remove toasted slices and keep warm.
Add the pear slices and the remaining
3 tablespoons butter and brown sugar,
toast until golden brown on both sides,
about 4 minutes. Serve with the cake.
