Scalloped Ham
and Russet Potatoes

Creamy potatoes along with salty ham.
A hearty main course that tastes great.
This is a good dish to make on a cold day.

Ingredients:
2 cups Cooked ham cubed
1/4 cup Onion chopped fine
1/4 cup Butter or margarine
1/4 cup Flour
2 1/2 cups Milk
5 large Potatoes thinly sliced
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1/8 teaspoon Pepper

Directions:
To make sauce, cook onion in butter
until tender but not browned.
Stir in flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt,
and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Add milk.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Cook and stir 1 to 2 minutes more.
In a 2 quart casserole place 1/2 of the
cubed ham and half of the sliced potatoes.
Cover with half the sauce. Repeat layers.
Bake covered in 350 F. oven for 45 minutes.
Uncover, bake about 30 minutes more
or till potatoes are done.

This sounds interesting, I'd definitely give it a go. I love making ham myself and of course I have to present them in 101 ways to make sure the kids won't get bored with my ham, lol! When you have more than a pound of ham in the fridge you really need a lot of ham recipes to use it for, lol!
