Any type of canned beans can be
substituted for kidney beans in
this easy to make and very tasty dish.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can vegetarian beans, partially drained
1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons catsup
2 tablespoons brown sugar or molasses
1 tablespoon mustard
1 cup ham, chopped
Directions:
Brown onion and green pepper in
nonstick cooking spray or
in a very small amount of
oil in a saucepan.
Add remaining ingredients.
Heat thoroughly for about 10 minutes.
