All recipes don't have to be difficult
or complicated to be a good meal.
This is a stick to you ribs chow mein.
Using that salty chow mein in a can
and turning it into something you just
might think came from a fancy restaurant.
Almost like shrimp with lobster sauce.
Ingredients:
1 Bi-pack chicken chow mein
1 celery stalk, sliced thin
1 carrot, peeled and sliced thin
1/2 cup diced red onion
1/4 cup cooked ground beef
4 cooked shrimp, chopped
1 cup water
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
Directions:
Open up the small can of sauce,
place in a glass bowl and stir in
low-sodium soy sauce and corn starch.
Place in microwave and cook on high 4 minutes.
Remove from oven and stir in celery, carrots,
onion, beef and shrimp, set aside.
Open larger can of bean sprouts with other
interesting vegetable bits and pieces.
Drain, rinse and squeeze dry really well.
Place in another glass bowl, add water and
microwave on high just until heated through.
Combine both bowls and heat again before serving.
