Sausage Stuffed
Bacon Wrapped
Pitted Dates

These are so good they're addicting.
Sweet Italian sausage stuffed dates
wrapped in bacon, in a mushroom sauce.
I would walk ten miles for this stuff!

Ingredients:
16 pitted dates
1/2 pound ground sweet Italian sausage
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
8 slices smoked bacon
1 can cream of mushroom soup
cooked white rice

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl combine sausage
with curry powder, garlic powder,
salt and ground black pepper.
Stuff each date with sausage.
Using a toothpick wrap each date
in bacon and place on a baking sheet.
When all on sheet place in oven and
bake for 30 minutes or until bacon crisp.
In a soup pot add cream of mushroom soup,
with same amout of water, stir to combine.
Place dates in soup pot adding more water
to cover if needed, and simmer 30 minutes.
Serve stuffed dates with cooked white rice.
