Black Beans
and Orzo Pasta

Not your normal black beans and rice dish,
I use orzo pasta to add a touch of creaminess
to a ussually dry textured black bean side.

Ingredients:
1 onion, diced
2-3 cloves of garlic, crushed
2-3 T. olive oil
1 packet Goya Sazon
1 can Black Beans, do not rinse
2 cups rice, I use brown
1 tsp. butter

Directions:
In a large skillet, over medium heat
place 1 tablespoon olive oil and
add onion and slowly caramelize.
Add garlic in the last minute.
Add black beans and continue to
cook over low heat for 4-5 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook orzo pasta
according to package directions.
Once cooked, drain the pasta,
add butter and Goya Sazon
seasoning packet and mix well.
Add this to the skillet and
let cook for one more minute.
Mix all ingredients well.
You may also sprinkle some
cilantro or parsley on top.
