I use this quick to make tomato sauce
as a red sauce for pizza and on any
cooked pasta, even with meatballs.
It's simple ingredients and the ease
of preperation will surpise you with
a very good tasting red tomato sauce.
This recipe makes two cups of sauce,
enough to coat one pizza crust.
Ingredients:
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2 cups water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
dash of cayene pepper
salt to taste
2 cups water
Directions:
Using a two cup glass measuring bowl,
place tomato paste and all spices in it.
Stir with a fork to combine well.
Add water and stir again to make
a seasoned tomato sauce.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and
place in microwave on high setting
for about 2 minutes or until heated.
Stir and use on cooked pasta or
set aside to cool if used on a pizza crust.
