Naan or Pita Bread

A simple recipe to make,
a simple dry pan fried bread.

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all purpose white flour
1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter)
1/2 cup cold water
salt to taste

Directions:
Sift the flour and salt into a medium bowl.
Add in the 1/4 cup of ghee into a hole made in the dough.
Mix well and gradually add enough water to bind the dough.
knead the dough on a greased counter top for 5-8 minutes.
Place it back in the bowl and let it rest for 2 hours.
Take a small ball from the dough and roll it out
thoroughly on a greased or floured counter top.
Gently pull at the corners of the dough until
it's thin enough that you can see through it.
Slowly stretch the dough a bit on all the ends.
In a greased skillet, cook 1-2 minutes
on each side until browned and ready to go.

Can't wait to try this. About how many breads did this make? (I've given up on yeast so I'm not afraid of this one!)

Have a great week! Kay
