My Grandmothers simple recipe
makes light and flacky biscuits.
Perfect to enjoy with butter or jam.
Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Combine in a mixing bowl the
flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix in the shortening to form a dough.
Do not over mix for that makes for
hard and tough baking powder biscuits.
Divide the dough into 1/4 cup sized balls.
Flatten the balls on a baking sheet and
Bake for 12 minutes or until nice and golden.
