Mashed Potatoes and Peas

Frozen green peas take the spotlight
in this good tasting potato side dish.
Sauteeing the frozen peas in browned butter
lends a depth of flavor that along with
the creamy mashed potatoes tastes great.

4 cups prepared mashed potatoes
1 cup frozen green peas
4 tablespoons unsalted butter

Melt butter in a sauce pan on medium heat,
add in the frozen peas and saute until
the butter is just turning a brown color.
Stir in the mashed potatoes and heat through,
remove from heat, let sit until ready to serve.
