This is so easy and so very good tasting.
The tender meat falls off the bone,
and the sauce is just amazing.
Ingredients:
2 onions, peeled and sliced
6 bone-in beef short ribs
1 bay leaf
12 ounces beer
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons brown mustard
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons dried thyme
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cold water
Directions:
Place onions in a 5-qt. slow cooker,
add in beef short ribs and bay leaf.
In a mixing bowl combine the beer,
brown sugar, mustard, tomato paste,
dried thyme, bouillon, salt and pepper.
Pour mixture over meat in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours
or until meat is fall of the bone tender.
Remove beef and onions to a serving platter
Discard bay leaf. Skim fat from cooking juices;
transfer juices to a small saucepan.
Bring liquid from slow cooker to a boil.
Combine flour and water until smooth.
Gradually stir into the pan. Bring to a boil,
cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
