Cast Iron Skillet Steak

Restaurant quality crusty steak on the outside
rare red tender and juicy on the inside is easy.
Cooked in a super sizzling hot cast iron pan
for only about 7 to 9 minutes for medium rare.

1 Porterhouse steak
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 large cast iron pan
1 tablespoon butter

Remove steak from packaging and allow it
to come to room temperature for 1 hour.
Preheat cast iron pan on high heat for at
least ten minutes until pipping, sizzling hot.
Season steak on one side with salt and pepper
then place steak in pan seasoned side down.
Now season other side of steak while in pan.
Let steak sear without moving it for 5 minutes.
Turn steak over to sear the other side for about
another 2 minutes or so for medium rare inside.
Remove steak, let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
