Corn Flake & Beef Meatballs

Corn Flakes lighten up ground beef meatballs
in place of adding day old or dried bread crumbs.
You can also make these meatballs in a slow cooker.

Ingredients:
Meatballs: 2 cups corn flakes cereal
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 large egg, beaten
1 lb. ground beef 85/15
Sauce: 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 cup tomato ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine corn flakes cereal,
ketchup and egg then mix in ground beef.
Shape mixture into 1-1/4-inch meatballs.
Place in a shallow baking pan lined with aluminum foil.
Bake meatballs for about 12 minutes or until browned.
In a large saucepan, combine remaining ingredients.
Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add meatballs. Continue cooking for 15 minutes.
