Broiled Grapefruit

The first time I made this broiled grapefruit
it came out just a big sugary sweet mess.
The heat wasn't hot enough to carmalize the sugar.
The oven must be piping hot for this to work.
This could also be done with a blow torch
but who has a blow torch in the kitchen?

Ingredients:
2 fresh grapefruit,halved and seeded
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
4 teaspoons white granulated sugar

Directions:
Preheat broiler on high for ten minutes.
While oven is heating halve and seed grapefruit
Place grapefruit on an aluminium covered sheet or dish.
Sprinkle sugars on top of grapefruit halves.
Place grapefruit on top oven rack as close
to the heat as possible.
Watch closly as it will only take a few seconds
for the sugars to carmalize.
Remove and serve warm.
