Skillet Fresh Green Garden Beans

I usually like to boil or nuke green beans.
Try this dry method of cooking them.
If there fresh they are good any way.

Ingredients:
3 slices bacon, diced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chicken stock
4 cups fresh green beans
freshly ground black pepper

directions:
Cook bacon in a large skillet
over medium-high heat until lightly browned,
turning frequently; add onion and cook
until onion is just tender.
Add the green beans,cover,
cook for one minute,
add the chicken stock
reduce heat to low,
simmer for 45 minutes.
Add pepper to taste.
