Beef Jerky
Made at Home

Here's a recipe for making
a lower sodium beef jerky.
Most store bought packs have a
whole days supply of salt in them.
This is easy to make a much better.
Jerky is considered a lean meat
that is high in protein, low in fat.

Ingredients:
1 flank or London broil steak
Salt and pepper
1 Cup low-sodium soy sauce
Aluminum foil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 150 degrees F.
Or set your dehydrater to this temperature.
Cut the steak into strips with the grain.
It is very important to cut along the grain
or the jerky will fall apart into small pieces.
Pour the soy sauce into a bowl
and dip the meat strips in it.
Lay the strips out on a piece of foil
and sprinkle generously with
salt and pepper on both sides.
Place the strips on a metal rack
in the oven with foil below
to catch the drippings.
Or use your dehydrator,
Bake for about 10 hours.
