Peda is a sweet Indian like cookie.
The main ingredients are powdered milk, sugar
and traditional flavorings, including
cardamom seeds, pistachio nuts and saffron.
Here is a recipe to make some peda using
ricotta cheese and cooked in a microwave.
Ingredients:
1 cup Ricotta cheese
1/2 cup Rolled Oats
1 cup Sugar
1 cup powdered Milk
2 pinch Saffron
1/4 cup Pistachios nuts, chopped
1 tbsp Butter + 1 tsp butter
Directions:
Take a microwave bowl, add the ricotta cheese,
sugar, milk powder, saffron and butter,
stir until the cheese gets well mixed.
Microwave in high power for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile in a another microwave bowl
add a teaspoon of butter and rolled oats,
cook for 5 minutes in high power.
Add cooked oats to the cheese mixture,
cook again on high power for 15 minutes.
Transfer to a flat plate and let cool.
When slightly cooled shape them as pedas,
arrange pistachios pieces over them and serve.
