Stuffed Peppers

Baked fresh bell peppers stuffed with
ground beef, bread crumbs and onions.
In this recipe I used both green and red.
I didn't add grated parmesan or ramano
cheese here, which is a good addition.

Ingredients:
2 green bell peppers, halved
2 red bell peppers, halved
1 1/2 pound ground beef
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped red pepper
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup dried bread crumbs
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:
In a large bowl combine all ingredients
except bell pepper halves and ketchup.
Place in a sealable container
and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cut bell peppers in half, remove seeds.
Fill each bell pepper half with beef mixture.
Top each stuffed pepper with ketchup.
Place in a covered casserole baking dish
and bake for 1 hour or until cooked through.
