Vegetable Broth
Fresh Homemade

There's a big difference between
canned or boxed vegetable broth,
and making it yourself fresh at home.
Cook rice in this instead of water.
With only five main ingredients,
you have no exuse not to make this.
It keeps for weeks in the refrigerator.
You'll find peace of mind knowing it's there.

Ingredients:
1 onion, peeled and chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 carrot, peeled and chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled
1 fresh lemon, quartered
6 cups cold water
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste

Directions:
In a large soup pot, place water and
all vegetables and bring to a boil.
Cover and turn off heat, let it sit
for a good hour or so.
Remove vegetables and pour broth
into a sealable covered container.
