Talk about a tasty comfort food,
this is a very old and good recipe
to make a great tasting goulash.
Ingredients:
2 Tbls oil
1 pound stew meat, cubed
2 c chopped onions
1/4 c. flour
4 c beef broth
16 oz drained tomatoes
1/2 c. dry red wine
1/4 c. parsley
2 Tbls paprika
1 tsp ea. marjoram thyme & salt
1 tsp caraway seed
Rind of 1 lemon
Directions:
In dutch oven heat oil, add beef and brown.
Add onion and saute until translucent.
Stir in flour until combined and smooth.
Add beef broth and remaining ingredients
except sour cream. Simmer 2-3 hours
uncovered until meat is fork tender,
stirring occasionally. Serve over rice,
noodles or creamy mashed potatoes.
Spoon dollop of sour cream on top.
