Slow Cooker Corned Beef

I usually cook corned beef in a
large soup pot on the stove top.
Today I cooked one in a slow cooker that
came out very tender and juicy good.

Ingredients:
1 (3 pound) corned beef brisket with spice packet
1 (12 fluid ounce) dark beer
2 bay leaves
1/4 cup peppercorns
10 cloves garlic, peeled

Directions:
Place the corned beef brisket into crock pot.
Sprinkle in spice packet, Pour in the beer,
and fill the pot with enough water to cover.
Add the bay leaves, peppercorns and garlic.
Cover, and cook on low for 10 hours,
adding more water to keep the meat covered.
Remove the meat from the crock pot,
Set on a cutting board,
allow it to rest 10 minutes to firm up.
Slice against the grain, or shred to serve.
