These chocolate chip cookies
don't have brown sugar in them
as most chocolate chip cookies do.
They are flavored with almond extract
as a nice variation from the usual.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and almond extract
.
Combine dry ingredients;
add to creamed mixture and mix well.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart
onto parchment lined baking sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12-15 minutes
or until edges are golden brown.
Remove to a wire rack to cool.

Rock,
These sound wonderful! I'm going to have to make them for my husband's office's weekly treat. If it has almond extract in it, it's gotta be good!
