Some days I want a simple rice soup.
Flavored with chicken broth and a few
slices of fresh tomato to round it off.
Ingredients:
4 cups cold water
1 teaspoon chicken base
1 fresh tomato, sliced
salt to taste
Directions:
Pour water into a sauce pan on high heat,
add in the rice and chicken flavoring.
Lower heat to a simmer, cover pan,
and cook for about 15 minutes.
Add in the sliced tomato and continue
simmering until rice is tender.
Season with salt to taste.
Serve warm.
